I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Firoozmand at Atlantic Clock Hospital when I dropped off an Elgin Pendulum Wall Clock with a faulty winding spring. The clock is approximately 25 years old and has never had any cleaning or maintenance work. Mr. Firoozmand worked diligently to restore the clock to a working condition, but felt it was not up to his standards. He stated that replacing the mechanism would restore the clock to "new" condition, but understood if I did not wish to proceed. I chose not to have the further repairs at the time. When I picked up the clock, I asked Mr. Firoozmand what I owed and he quoted me a very low price considering the time I knew he spent just getting the clock to work reasonably well. He explained he felt bad that he could not get the clock to work at 100% capacity without replacing the works. (Certainly something that was not his fault) It is wonderful to meet a person who obviously takes great pride in his work and is honest and conscientious. I will not hesitate in the least to contact Mr. Firoozmand with any future clock repairs.
Absolutely the best. I had a lovely old french mantle clock repaired here. It has worked on and off for years and other repairs have been only temporary. He took it apart, cleaned it thoroughly, and reassembled it. It has worked beautifully since. No need to replace any parts which would compromise the clock. A very very fair price for really expert work. This is a craftsman, who knows clocks inside and out. I cannot recommend highly enough.
